DESCRIPTION:\nDate: Saturday, 15 August 2026\n\n\n\nStart Time:         \n\n\n\n21.1km: 07:00\n\n\n\n10km: 07:10\n\n\n\n4.9km: 07:15\n\n\n\nToddler Run: 08:30\n\n\n\nVenue: Monte Bello Estate, Bloemfontein\n\n\n\nWhy should I participate in this race?\n\n\n\n\nWell-marked routes with waterpoints and safety officials along the way\n\n\n\nA good warm-up race for the upcoming Spring running calendar\n\n\n\nA fun race village with coffee, pancakes and games afterwards\n\n\n\nFinisher medals\n\n\n\nPrize money and a festive atmosphere\n\n\n\nFamily-friendly day\n\n\n\n\nWho can race?\n\n\n\n\nWe extend our invitation to all those who love physical activities and their families!\n\n\n\nWe are excited to host a Toddler Run and involve even more family members this way.\n\n\n\nTo enter in the 21.1km race, ensure participants are 16 years of age. \n\n\n\nTo enter in the 10km race, ensure participants are 14 years of age. \n\n\n\n\nGeneral Information: \n\n\n\n\nRace organisers reserve the right to accept or reject any entry.\n\n\n\nDistance markers, direction arrows, boards and road markings on the route.\n\n\n\nOne leading vehicle or bike for the first athlete.\n\n\n\nWater tables approximately every 3km with refreshment handouts.\n\n\n\nRunners must observe all Health and Safety Regulations. \n\n\n\nNo earphones (except hearing aids), pets, prams, or any electronic devices are permitted.\n\n\n\nParking is available, but at your OWN risk.\n\n\n\nToilets are available.\n\n\n\nThe gazebo area for clubs is available, but the tog bag facilities are unavailable.\n\n\n\nMedals at finish.\n\n\n\nNo tog bag area.\n\n\n\nMedical services are available at the finish line and roaming the route.\n\n\n\nFor emergency medical care, contact VR-Med – 087 250 0005.\n\n\n\n\nRules and Regulations:\n\n\n\n\nThe race is held under the rules of ASA and AFS.\n\n\n\nParticipants must be eligible according to the WA, ASA and AFS rules. \n\n\n\nAll athletes participate at their own risk.\n\n\n\nAthletes acknowledge that by entering the event, they are medically fit to participate.\n\n\n\nAll athletes must supply their emergency contact’s name and contact number on the entry form.\n\n\n\nParticipation age is 16 years or older for the 21.1km race and 14 years or older for the 10km race.\n\n\n\nLicensed athletes must wear club colours with the 2026 AFS licence number on the back and front of their running vest; otherwise, athletes will be disqualified.\n\n\n\nA temporary licence can be purchased for R50 for the 10km and 21.1km race.\n\n\n\nTemporary number to be worn at the back of the gear. \n\n\n\nA temporary number participant has no insurance coverage on race day.\n\n\n\nNo seconding is allowed; sufficient water points are provided.\n\n\n\nNo blades, prams, cyclists or mechanically operated devices are allowed in the race.\n\n\n\nWheelchair athletes will not be permitted to participate.\n\n\n\nNo animals/pets are allowed to participate/accompany an athlete.\n\n\n\nNo refunds will be given once an entry is purchased or if the race is cancelled due to reasons outside the organisers’ control.\n\n\n\nAthletes may not run with another athlete’s AFS licence number!\n\n\n\nAge category tags must be worn at the front and back to qualify as a category winner. \n\n\n\nNo earphones (except hearing aids), or any electronic devices are permitted as they are in contravention of Rule T6.3.2 and will lead to disqualification.\n\n\n\nThe race organiser retains the right to refuse entry and will disqualify persons under the influence of drugs or alcohol, who are disorderly, or who engage in inappropriate behaviour, vandalism or evade paying for admission (if applicable).\n\n\n\nAthletes who participate without buying a race entry will be disqualified, will not be entitled to any benefits associated with the race and will be liable for a double entry fee charge (if applicable).\n\n\n\nHabitual offenders will be subjected to AFS disciplinary steps.\n\n\n\nAthletics FS Green Race – littering is not allowed. Make use of the recycling bins available at the water points. Athletes can be disqualified if they litter.\n\n\n\nCut-off time for the 10km and 21.1km is at 10:30. \n\n\n\nNo late starters (later than 5 minutes from the group start time) will be allowed.\n\n\n\nAll marshals, traffic authorities and traffic rules must be obeyed — failing to do so may lead to disqualification.\n\n\n\nCheck points on route. (Keep left at all times). In case of an emergency, report to the next water point.\n\n\n\nProof of age must be provided on race day if required: ID or Birth Certificate, Driver’s License or Passport.\n\n\n\nAll participants must adhere to the Health and Safety Regulations.\n\n\n\nParticipants partake at their own risk and need to be medically fit. \n\n\n\nInternational athletes who partake must provide and hand in a clearance certificate from the National Federation and a copy of the participant’s passport to the Event Organiser before entering the event.\n\n
